Ilan S. Weisberg, MD, MSc, received his Bachelor of Science from Cornell University, a Master of Science from McGill University, and his medical degree from the UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
Dr. Weisberg completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Transplant Hepatology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. He then went on to do his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Weill Cornell Medical Center. His clinical interests span the entire breadth of gastroenterology and endoscopy, with a particular emphasis on the treatment of hepatitis, portal hypertension, and other disorders of the liver.
He has published original research articles and authored numerous publications on the care of patients with liver disease. Dr. Weisberg is currently an Associate Professor of Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City where he also serves as the program director for the gastroenterology fellowship program there. Dr. Weisberg is a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease, the American Gastroenterology Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the New York Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
