Yasmin Metz, MD

Overview

Yasmin Metz, M.D. is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. She is a graduate of Brown University where she enrolled in the Program in Liberal Medical Education. There she received a B.A. in Human Biology with Honors followed by her medical degree.

Dr. Metz completed both her Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital- Weill Cornell Medical Center. She was the recipient of the Department of Medicine Charles Uribe Award. Additionally, she received a grant from the American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society to obtain additional training in gastrointestinal motility at Temple University Medical Center.

Dr. Metz is currently an Attending Physician at Lenox Hill Hospital and NYU Langone Medical Center. Her clinical interests include general gastroenterology, hepatology, inflammatory bowel disease, motility, and women’s gastrointestinal health. She is a member of several medical societies including the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the New York Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
